A. Yes. This formulation gently cleanses while moisturizing and activating curls. Coconut oil and pea peptides hydrate and define curls.

Q. What is the difference between Curl Revive and Curl Fresh shampoo?
A. Curl Fresh shampoo has 10 - 15 additional botanical extracts, milder cleansers, superfood seed oils and is made from 98% plant-based and naturally derived ingredients. Normally, we recommend Curl Fresh for fine-medium waves and curls, and the Curl Revive and Curl Thrive duo for medium-coily textures or those seeking richer hydration. Both are formulated with our Curl Creating Complex to enhance curls, hydrate, and moisturize natural patterns.

Q. What makes AG formulas unique?

Q: Should refill pouches be shaken before use?
A: We recommend shaking the pouch before refilling as its natural ingredients can occasionally cause separation.

A: Our refill pouches will fill our aluminum 12oz bottle 2.8 times, our 10oz shampoos 3.2 times and our 8oz conditioners 4.1 times!

Q: What is the shelf life of the 1L refill pouch after it’s been open?
A: 12 months.

Q: How do I extend the life of my bottles to reuse as long as possible?
A: Our bottles can easily be rinsed, dried and used multiple times!

Q: Are refill pouches recyclable?
A: AG pouches are not currently recyclable due to an inner layer required to protect the stability of AG formulas. However, the caps are recyclable and our pouches use 73% less plastic and take 62% less energy to produce than our previous litre bottles leaving a smaller footprint and generating fewer CO2 emissions.

"This shampoo worked sooo much better than expected! I wasn’t expecting a huge difference, especially since other previous curl shampoos I’ve tried haven’t shown great results, but this shampoo really allowed my natural curls to show through! Great for Textured Hair!

"This product is quite hydrating and great for textured hair! Lately my hair has not been holding its curl like it used to but using this product definitely helped! After washing my hair felt more hydrated and held more of a wave than it did before! I will say that because this is just a shampoo and not an mousse or curl cream of course it will not necessarily make your curls hold throughout the day but it does provide great hydration and my hair felt more soft after washing! I paired this product with the AG Hair volumizing mousse and they work great together!"

"It’s a solid, gentle shampoo that hydrates without weighing my curls down and helps a bit with frizz and definition. My hair feels clean but not stripped. That said, it’s a bit too mild for me and doesn’t fully reset my hair, especially if I’ve been using styling products. It’s good for lighter wash days, but id still want to rotate in something more clarifying. Overall nice, just not a standout."

Nothing special

"Wasn’t too crazy about this. Starting off with the lavender-medicinal fragrance, it’s not for me. The shampoo has a nice thick consistency and lathers super well, but- and to preface this review, because I was only sent this shampoo of the line to try, I didn’t use any conditioner to see how hydrating this was on its own. In short, it definitely wasn’t- my hair felt very close to straw and straight after using. Half blow drying my hair, and leaving the rest to air dry, I usually get more of a wave texture to it. But while the after wasn’t much worse visually than my hair before, it wasn’t as soft and felt dryer to touch. This might be a decent shampoo paired with its conditioner from the same line, but I can’t say that it’s anything special from other products that already exist out there and I wouldn’t be seeking this one out. Pass."
